Lcomp is a
noise barrier composite consisting of a 1/4" absorber foam
with a black urethane film facing, a 15 mil lead barrier
and a 1/4" thick foam decoupler. It has a total thickness of 1/2", weighs
approximately 1 lb/sq. ft. and it is highly moldable to form to
the contours of your vehicle.
Lcomp offers the
best performance amongst composite materials and is meant to
be installed on floors, doors and firewalls to reduce road and
engine noise. Using a damping material in conjunction with
Lcomp will offer the optimum performance.
Each sheet measures 48" x
24" for a total of 8 sq. ft. per sheet.
NOTE: Lcomp is not currently available for purchase The continued worldwide demand for lead has driven our raw material prices ever higher to the point where we have elected to temporarily suspend production of Lcomp. We suggest that you take a look at Vcomp, which is a far more cost effective option.
